  • Account Identifiers: We use Firebase Authentication to assign a unique, anonymous identifier to your device. If you choose to link an account, we may collect your email address or third-party authentication tokens (e.g., Sign in with Apple).

B. User-Generated Content

  • Chat Logs and Prompts: We process text messages, quick actions, and prompts you exchange with our AI coaching features.

  • Media and Photos: If you upload screenshots, profile photos, or bio text for profile audits or photo analysis, we temporarily process these assets to generate your score report.

C. Device and Usage Data

  • Device Telemetry: We collect standard device details such as your device model, operating system version, local language settings, and unique device identifiers.

  • App Diagnostics: Crash logs, performance metrics, and transaction telemetry are recorded to monitor app stability and resolve connectivity issues.

We use the information we collect to operate, improve, and secure Kizuna AI, specifically to:

  • Deliver Core Services: Provide interactive AI chat coaches, conversation simulations, profile audits, and personalized relationship suggestions.

  • Enable AI Intelligence: Process your profile details and conversation history through the Google Gemini API to produce contextually relevant and tailored communication strategies.

  • Sync & Persist Data: Synchronize your settings, chat histories, and interest trackers securely between your local SwiftData database and Firebase Firestore.

  • Manage Subscriptions: Enforce premium feature access, process payments, and verify entitlement tiers via Superwall SDK integrations.

  • Enhance Performance: Analyze diagnostics, resolve rate-limiting exceptions, and refine server response times.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Application, subject to strict confidentiality agreements:

  • Google Firebase: Used for anonymous authentication, database hosting (Cloud Firestore), and real-time remote synchronization. Firebase operates under Google's enterprise security policies.

  • Google Gemini API: Your chat history, profile indicators, and uploaded media are securely transmitted to Google Gemini servers to generate AI coach responses. This data is handled in accordance with Google Cloud's Generative AI privacy standards.

  • Superwall SDK: Used to manage subscription entitlements, display premium upgrade paywalls, and synchronize purchase status.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

4. Data Security and Offline Persistence

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information:

  • On-Device Encryption: Your local database (SwiftData) is saved on your device's protected filesystem, secure under Apple's hardware-level sandbox encryption.

  • Transit Security: All network communications with our backend servers, Firebase, and the Google Gemini API are fully encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).

  • Anonymized Operations: By default, the App operates using anonymous Firebase identifiers. No direct real-world identity (such as physical address or phone number) is mandated to use our AI coaching features.

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your data.

Requesting Data Deletion:

You can completely wipe your chat records and profile data from our databases at any time:

  1. Navigate to Settings within the App.

  2. Select Clear Chat or delete your profile.

6. Children's Privacy

Kizuna AI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under age 17, we will immediately delete that information from our systems.
